Kevin Crossley-Holland to Read from Collected Poems at St Edmund Hall, Oxford

Kevin Crossley-Holland will be reading from his newly published Collected Poems in the Old Dining Hall at St Edmund Hall, Oxford, on Tuesday 3 March at 5.30pm.

An Honorary Fellow of St Edmund Hall, Kevin returns to the college for this special event marking the publication of a landmark volume that brings together more than five decades of poetry. Collected Poems gathers the full breadth of his work, tracing a lifelong engagement with memory, myth and the human heart. Deeply rooted in lived experience and literary tradition, the poems draw on folklore, history and the natural world while speaking vividly to contemporary readers.

Spring Book Launch Event in Great Bardfield

Kevin Crossley-Holland will be travelling to Essex this February for the launch of Spring, his new collaboration with illustrator Rosamond Ulph.

Hosted by Great Bardfield Poetry Club and taking place at Between the Lines Bookshop, this special afternoon will celebrate the publication of a book in which poetry and image are closely intertwined. The collection reflects on the season of renewal and transformation, with poems that explore light, growth, memory and the subtle shifts that mark the turning of the year.

During the event, Kevin will read from Spring and speak about the origins and development of the poems. Rosamond Ulph will discuss her illustrations and the creative dialogue that shaped the finished book. Together, they will offer an insight into how text and image can enrich and deepen one another.

The event will conclude with time for questions and book signing.

North Norfolk Launch Event for Kevin Crossley-Holland’s Collected Poems

Award-winning poet and much-loved North Norfolk author Kevin Crossley-Holland will be giving a special reading to mark the launch of his new Collected Poems, published by ARC.

This free community event, hosted by Paper Moon Books, offers a warm invitation to readers, poetry lovers, and anyone with an interest in the landscape and stories of this part of the county. Kevin’s work is deeply rooted in North Norfolk, and much of his inspiration comes from the coast, wildlife, and local history.

The evening will include:

  • A short reading from Collected Poems
  • A chance to meet Kevin and have books signed
  • Time to browse and chat with other guests
  • Complimentary wine, soft drinks and nibbles

The launch takes place at Burnham Market & Norton Village Hall at 6pm on Wednesday 3rd December. Doors open shortly beforehand, and seats will be available on a first-come basis.

Kevin Crossley-Holland’s writing spans over five decades and includes poetry, translations, historical fiction, and libretti. He is a Carnegie Medal winner, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, and one of Britain’s best-known literary voices. Collected Poems brings together work from across his career, offering a rich, personal and wide-ranging selection.

Whether you are familiar with Kevin’s poetry or discovering it for the first time, this will be a friendly and engaging evening in celebration of a significant new publication by a North Norfolk writer whose work has reached readers around the world.
