We are delighted to announce that Kevin Crossley-Holland will be taking part in the inaugural King’s Lynn Book Festival, taking place from 2-4 October 2026 at the historic King’s Lynn Town Hall.
While the Book Festival is new in name, it builds on a proud literary tradition stretching back more than forty years through the much-loved King’s Lynn Literature Festivals. Under the direction of Chairman and Festival Director Sherie Naidoo, the festival has been reimagined as a welcoming and accessible celebration of books, poetry and ideas.
On Sunday 4 October, Kevin will join fellow poets Alia Kobuszko and Jude Nutter for a special afternoon event, Meet Three Poets.
Kevin, whose Collected Poems was recently published, will be joined by Alia Kobuszko, one of the most exciting new voices in contemporary poetry, whose first poems have been published by Faber, and Jude Nutter, the Yorkshire-born poet whose work has been shaped by many years living in the United States and who is now moving to Ireland.
Meet Three Poets
Sunday 4 October 2026
3.00pm – 5.00pm
King’s Lynn Town Hall
The event promises a fascinating meeting of three distinctive poetic voices, bringing together established and emerging writers from across generations and continents.
The King’s Lynn Book Festival has been designed as a friendly and sociable literary weekend, with writers remaining at the festival for much of the programme, giving readers plenty of opportunity to meet them and continue conversations beyond the events themselves.
Season tickets, covering all six festival events, are available now for £60, offering a substantial saving on individual tickets. Single-event tickets (£16.50) will go on sale from 14 July.

We hope to see many friends, readers and poetry lovers there.
